Characters deepen a little. plot is still foreseeable, but it's getting a more interesting and you want to see what's going to happen next.
Totally ticked at the ending!! What the heck. This better not be a 2 year wait. Good series so far, it's earth magic but not too bad. I think I'll try his other series too.
Enjoyed the first book, but each successive one contained more foul language and were slower paced . Disappointed in the trend it took.
The story holds my attention very well and there are not swings to introduce new characters or new sceniarios, The sense of confusion that the main character has as to his capabilities is well organized to leave future awareness as a strong emotion for the reader.

A very enjoyable read, very much to my liking. Full of change and action, a great way to spend a few hours of reading. This is exactly the kind of book that I would love to have on a weekend trip. I will have to get the rest of this series!
If you like fantasy and it keeps you attention you can forgive certain types of writing such as trying to find a new way to say the same things that are said in other stories as long as there are some surprises along the way.
